Travel crate if you wish. Many hold their puppies on their way back home, if they have others in the car to help them. Holding the pup will help it with the stress of traveling.
Cleaning supplies-puppies are known to get car sick so having some paper towels, old towels, wipes, and plastic bags to dispose in are what we recommended.

Schedule a vet visit within the first week of bringing your new pup home. This visit is crucial for establishing a health baseline and discussing vaccinations and future healthcare plans. Quality healthcare is as important to us as it is to you.
Lastly, prepare for lots of love, laughter, and learning. Puppies bring an immeasurable amount of joy into our lives, but they also require patience and understanding. Remember, they're learning about their new world just as much as you're learning about them.
Your new pup is currently eating 3 meals a day.
Each meal has ¼-⅓ cup kibble,
start with ¼ first couple days and
advance to ⅓ cup at each feeding.
Within a week or two of bringing your puppy home
he should be eating the full ⅓ cup at each meal.
Once pup is about 12 weeks you can switch from three down to two feedings a day - each feeding should have at least
½ cup kibble. May need to increase a bit during growth spurts.
The average puppy and adult eat 1-1½ cups a day.
Breakfast Meal
The breakfast meal is ¼-⅓ cup Royal Canin Small Breed Puppy kibble mixed with Ultra Pure Omega Fish Oil and
½ Tbsp Life's Abundance Canned Food.
Lunch & Dinner Meals
The lunch and dinner meals are ¼-⅓ cup Royal Canin Small Breed Puppy kibble mixed with
½ Tbsp Life's Abundance Canned Food.
Puppies 8-12 Weeks
Feed ⅓ cup Royal Canin Small Breed Puppy kibble at each meal. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
which is total of almost 1 cup for the day)
Puppies 12 Weeks - Adults
Omit Lunch Feeding;
*Transitioning FROM Royal Canin to Life's Abundance can begin. Life's Abundance Small/Medium
Increase amounts fed at Breakfast & Dinner.
You will now feed ½ cup at each meal. (Breakfast & Dinner which is total of one cup per day.)
NOTE: Some older pups & adults will need up to 1 ½ cups total per day depending on individual metabolism. Continue the fish oil at breakfast, may continue 1 Tbsp of canned food at breakfast. The Tasty Rewards and the Turkey and Berry Treats may be used to reward for training and outdoor 'potty' rewards. Break a fingernail-sized piece off as a reward. Don't overfeed treats as they can affect appetite. Life's Abundance Treats are all meant to be functioning treats, meaning they complement and work with the food products they are not just empty calories!
Imagine this: the day has finally arrived. You're on your way to pick up your new bundle of joy. The anticipation is palpable, but so are the nerves. Will you have everything ready? Will your new pup feel comfortable and safe? Rest assured, these feelings are normal, and we've got some tips to help you navigate through them.
Firstly, create a welcoming environment. Your home is about to become their home. Dedicate a space just for your new puppy – a corner with a cozy bed, toys, and a water dish. This will be their safe haven, a place they can retreat to when they need some quiet time.
Next, stock up on essentials. Puppies, much like babies, require certain necessities. Quality puppy food, a sturdy leash, a collar with an ID tag, grooming supplies, and plenty of chew toys should be at the top of your list. Also, remember to puppy-proof your home. Keep anything harmful or valuable out of their reach.
